Tiago Barros is the Chief IoT Engineer at CESAR, responsible for coordinating the CESAR IoT Research Group, design and implement the KNoT Network of Things meta-platform for IoT. Tiago is the CESAR representative on ANATEL’s Brazillian Commission on Communications (CBC3) that handles the telecommunication standardization in Brazil, being responsible for writing recommendations for ITU-T Study Group 20 – Internet of Things, smart cities and communities.
Mr. Barros is also an invited professor of the UFPE CIn/Motorola postgraduate course on software architecture for mobile devices for over than 15 years. He also teaches electronic prototyping classes in Computer Science and User Experience Design courses at CESAR.School and UFPE since 2009. Tiago Barros holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science (UFPE-2007), B.Sc. in Computer Science (UFPE-2003) and Technician in Electronics (ETFPE-1998), with more than 26 years of experience in software development, with emphasis on Internet of Things, embedded real-time systems, software and hardware architecture and communication protocols.
