Overview of Germán Goñi conference “LoRa Solutions for Water Managment: A Chilean Success Case”.
- IoT as a viable and feasible tool to face water scarcity.
- Well water management could be automatized using local solutions.
- New potential applications for other industries.
Water is a good whose scarcity as an input is becoming critical for the operation of key industries, throughout the world and even more so in countries with productive and extractive activities linked to agricultural activity such as Chile. This talk will show how BlueMonster has managed, by implementing IoT-based solutions, to rationalize the use of water by a salmon company located in the rural Los Lagos region.
This development contemplates a hardware and software architecture, with components developed at proprietary level in integration with commercial devices and open source standards. In practice, the project allows the client to have a robust platform that allows them to give persistence to their data, access the most relevant information on their operation regarding water consumption, comply with the regulations requested by Dirección General de Aguas since january 2018.
